Hasso Gehrmann

Hasso Gehrmann (born October 15, 1924 in Weißenfels , † March 6, 2008 in Bregenz ) was a German designer , philosopher and artist .

Life

Gehrmann studied art history with Gustav Friedrich Hartlaub and philosophy with Karl Jaspers at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . Then fine arts with Karl Trummer at the Free Academy Mannheim and with Will Sohl at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences .

Since the end of the Second World War he was active as a visual artist. From 1955 to 1960 Gehrmann worked as an industrial designer at AEG in Frankfurt am Main, in 1961 he switched to the household appliance manufacturer Elektra Bregenz as chief designer , after which he was sold to Brown, Boveri & Cie. (BBC) and Blomberg . In 1982 he founded Gehrmann Design GmbH in Bregenz; In 1996 he retired.

Act

Hasso Gehrmann designed household appliances, living concepts, combine harvesters and boats. He held numerous inventions and patents, including those for the development of the world's first fully automatic kitchen.

Since 1971 he has dealt with “theoretical design”, the development of “subjective logic” and project planning of biological (computer) thinking.
