Hatcher Island is an island off the Scott coast of East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the group of the Dailey Islands it is located immediately east of Juergens Island and 3 km east of West Dailey Island .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 2001 after John H. Hatcher III. by Antarctic Support Associates , which initiated garbage disposal under the United States Antarctic Program in 1991 and managed it until 1999.
