Hatework was an Italian thrash metal band from Arconate that was formed in 1996 and split up in 2007.

history

The band was formed in 1996. After a little over a year, the band recorded their debut album, which, however, remained unreleased due to disputes between the band and their label. Further live performances followed before the EP Thrasher's Attack was released in 2000 . For the rest of the year, as well as 2001, further appearances followed, before the band reached a contract with the German label Witches Brew Records through another EP, which included two songs . The debut album Madbent for Disaster was released in 2002 . In 2002 and 2003 the band played concerts again, performing with Raw Power , Tankard , Necrodeath and Dismember . In 2003 the band could also be heard on various samplers and on a split release by Dream Evil Records . In 2004 the second album Thrash 'n' Roll followed on Beer City Records . In 2007 the band split up.

style

According to Joe Florez from metal-observer.com, the band plays classic Thrash Metal that is reminiscent of the 1980s on Thrash 'n' Roll . The guitar riffs in XXX also reminded Florez of old Motörhead albums . Clementi's vocals are reminiscent of Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth ( Overkill ) or Marcel “Schmier” Schirmer ( Destruction ).
