The Hatfield River is a river in the northwest of the Australian state of Tasmania .

geography

The river rises about four kilometers southeast of the settlement of Surrey Hills , northwest of the Cradle Mountain Lake St. Clair National Park and initially flows west until it crosses under the Murchison Highway at the settlement of Hatfield . There it turns its course to the southwest, flows through the Hatfield River Forest Reserve and forms the Huskisson River about five kilometers east of Mount Ramsay together with the Coldstream River .
