The Hatzlacke is a lake on the southern side of the Zillertal Alps in South Tyrol . The small lake can only be reached on foot from Kematen in the Pfitscher Valley using hiking route 5. It is located 1.1 kilometers north of the village at 1850 m slm above sea level, below the Grafsee .
The clear water of the mountain lake has excellent drinking water quality , but is also cool in summer with a maximum of 12 to 14 ° C. Smaller trout species live in the water. The lake has no inflows and outflows and is mainly supplied with fresh water by rain or snowmelt.
