Hauck (family of manufacturers)

The Hauck family of manufacturers descends from a miller family from Wassertrüdingen proven in the 17th and 18th centuries . Gustav Hauck (1837–1911) and his sons Ludwig (1870–1939) and Otto Hauck, who were manufacturers in Heilbronn , achieved particular entrepreneurial importance . Gustav Hauck's brother Guido Hauck (1845–1905) was a scientist in Berlin .

The coat of arms of the Hauck family shows three black bars in silver and a curved tip over the whole. Inside is a black armored, silver swan with closed wings. The helmet ornament shows the swan again, which can be seen on the shield, but this time is ready to fly.

History and family tree of the Hauck family

The first ancestor of the Hauck family - Andreas Hauck (* 1619; † 1688 in Wassertrüdingen in Central Franconia ), according to oral tradition, immigrated from Tyrol as a journeyman, his son Johann Kaspar (* 1665; † 1723) and grandson Georg Michael I (* 1693 ; † 1761 in Wassertrüdingen) were municipal millers in Wassertrüdingen. Georg Michael moved to Zirndorf , where in 1742 his son Johann Georg, who became the brewery administrator, and in 1778 his grandson Johann Heinrich, who became the registrar, were born. Johann Heinrich's son Georg Ludwig Gustav Hauck (* 1809 in Nuremberg ), a merchant, then settled in Heilbronn, where he married the only daughter of the merchant Johann Ludwig Reiner, who died in 1831. Georg Ludwig Gustav's son Gustav von Hauck , a factory owner , and his grandson Ludwig Hauck and his descendants in 1870 were born in Heilbronn .
