Ernst Hauck

Ernst Hauck (* 1954 in Erlangen ) is a German lawyer and was the presiding judge at the Federal Social Court .

Life

Ernst Hauck was born in Erlangen in 1954 as the son of Karl Hauck (Medievalist) . Like this one, he comes from the Franconian miller and factory owner family Hauck .

Hauck studied at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster law and performed at the District Court Münster his trainee satisfaction. He then worked as a research assistant at the University of Münster from 1982 to the end of 1986, where he did his doctorate on the subject of business secrets - information property based on judicial training?

In January 1987 he became a judge in the social justice system of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia , from March 1991 seconded to the State Social Court of Essen , where he was appointed judge from April 1993 and presiding judge in February 2002.

Since June 1, 2005, Ernst Hauck was a judge at the Federal Social Court and was a member of the 1st Senate, which deals with the law of statutory health insurance . In January 2011 he became Deputy Chairman, in August 2016 Chairman of the Senate. He retired on reaching the age limit on December 31, 2019.

In addition, Hauck has been honorary professor at the Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg since 2012 .
