The former school building Haus Berggarten is located in Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia ) in the Gladbach district , Lüpertzender Straße 85.

The building was built in 1891. It was entered under no. L 012 on September 24, 1985 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .

The property, the former mathematical and natural science high school Berggarten, is located on the south-eastern slope of the Abteiberges with the main facade facing Lüpertzender Strasse and houses the adult education center . It was originally a four-storey school building made of brick with a basalt base in an H-shaped, approximately symmetrical grouping, but with side wings protruding unequally. Elongated central wing of eleven window axes with a three-axis, strongly protruding central projection that contains the main portal and stairwell .

Worth preserving as a school building, which was built in a cautiously structured brick construction, characteristic of the time it was built.
