History and description

The Pfotenhauer house was built in 1923 according to plans by the architect Eugen Seibert . Stylistically, the house is a mixture of traditionalism in of villas turn of the century and is historicism of the late founder of Time . The two-storey villa has a beaver-tailed mansard roof and a symmetrical plastered facade . Unusual details are the columns , the balcony parapet , the window bars and the entrance gate .

The villa currently houses the Darmstadt International Music Institute .

Monument protection

For architectural, architectural and city-historical reasons, the Pfotenhauer house is a listed building .
