House Schwarzenstein
Haus Schwarzenstein is a former knight 's seat in the Drevenack district in Hünxe . The roots of the permanent house are in the 14th century. A document from 1348 documents the Schwarzenstein family for the first time.
After the family of Ringberg the route acquired in 1454 the rule . 1468 to the Amelong and 1544 to the Mumm family, who called themselves Mumm von Schwarzenstein. After the Schwarzenstein family died out in 1713 and the extensive possessions were hereditary, Major General Johann Franz von Crone bought it first, but in 1716 Baron Johann Siegmund von Heyden bought it . In 1729 Freiherr Johann Sigismund von Strünkede married the manorial estate . In 1776 Schwarzenstein was sold from the bankruptcy estate of the Strünkedische possessions to the widow Löhr zu Wesel . This ended his ability to state parliament .
In addition to the permanent house within the trench, there were also the stable buildings, the brewery , the shepherd's house, the oven and the well under what was bought. Also 158 acres of 587 rods of land, plus several rights.
In 1849 the Protestant pastor Schneider from Wesel inherited Schwarzenstein, then his brother-in-law Jodocus Albertus Casparus Eichelberg.
In 1889/1890 the old building was demolished and only the tower remained. The building that exists today was built using the old foundations and vaults .
In the chaos of war at the end of the Second World War , Schwarzenstein was looted and its owner murdered. The subsequent owner left his property and made 1961 the Good the RWTH drag hunt club in lease available.
