Both Hausen Castle and its Vorwerk Hausen are deserted. The place of the desert castle Hausen is classified as a ground monument. It is still clearly detectable in the area. The village, which was once upstream to the east, is a desert, located northwest of the Hohendorf district of the city of Bürgel and on the eastern edge of the Tautenburg Forest .

history

This fortified settlement and village were documented in the 12th century. The Saxon fratricidal war in the 15th century was the reason for the destruction of the village and the castle.
