Household organization training

Household organization training ( proper spelling HOT - the household organization training ) is an offer of support for families in Germany, which was developed in the years 2000 to 2003 as part of a federal project by the German Caritas Association under scientific supervision. HOT was developed as a concept to prevent poverty and is aimed at families with children. The target group of the HOT particularly includes families who find themselves in a precarious situation due to poverty or excessive demands .

Goals and Methods

The goals of the HOT are called “to change dysfunctional household structures together with the family by learning new behavioral strategies; Empowering parents to regain their responsibility for caring for their children; the resources to mobilize the family and to strengthen their ability to help themselves. "

Specifically, this training covers areas of housework and family work .
