Havana Brown (born February 14, 1985 in Melbourne , Victoria ; actually Angelique Meunier ) is an Australian DJ and pop singer .

Career

The artist, who previously worked as a regional DJ, received a recording contract and has been regularly releasing remix compilations called Crave on CD since 2008 . She was not only in the clubs, but also in the opening act of singers such as Rihanna , Pussycat Dolls , Britney Spears and Chris Brown to hear. In April 2011, a dance single, We Run the Night , was released, which she presented as a singer. This was awarded triple platinum in Australia. In September 2011, a US version of the title was produced, in which the rapper Pitbull participated. This version reached number 1 on the Hot Dance Club charts .

Brown's debut EP When the Lights Go Out was released on July 17, 2012. It contains, among other things, a remix by RedOne of the single We Run the Night . Her single Big Banana , which she recorded with R3hab, reached number one on the Billboard Hot Dance Club chart in January 2013 .

From January 31 to March 8, 2016, Brown was a participant in the Australian reality show I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and took sixth place.
