The Hawai'i State Route 11 is a road between Hilo and Kailua-Kona on Hawaii . It is part of as Mamalahoa Highway known Hawai'i Belt Road .

Hawai'i State Route 11 begins in Hilo at the intersection with Hawai'i State Route 19, known here as Kamehameha Avenue, and Banyan Drive. In the local area it is called Kanoelehua Avenue, as Volcano Road it runs south through Kea'au , Kurtistown , Mountain View , Glenwood and Volcano . It crosses the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park near the northern edge of the caldera of Kīlauea and along the Keamoku Lava Flow. In the south-east of the island, the localities Pāhala , Nīnole , Honuʻapo and Nāʻālehu are crossed before the lava flow formed during an eruption of Mauna Loa in 1907 is crossed. A few kilometers after the junction of South Point Road near Pu'u Nanaia is a lookout point on Ka Lae . The road continues, touching Hawaiian Ocean View , north through Pāpā , Keālia , Keokea , Hōnaunau and Captain Cook . At Kealakekua , the North Kona District and thus the greater Kailua-Kona area is reached. From the south, the highway approaches its end point at the junction of the Hawaiʻi Belt Road / Queen Kaʻahumanu Highway with Palani Road in Kailua-Kona through the villages of Honalo , Keauhou and Hōlualoa .

The total length of the road is around 122 miles (197 kilometers), the lowest point is near sea level in Hilo, near the Kīlauea (kilometer 48) the highest point of the route is reached at 4,024 ft. (1,226 meters).
