Haworthia cymbiformis is a species of the genus Haworthia in the subfamily of the Affodilla family (Asphodeloideae).

description

Haworthia cymbiformis usually grows stemless and sprouts. The broadly ovate to lanceolate, flat to concave leaves form a rosette with a diameter of up to 13 centimeters. The leaf blade, which is usually opaque, green and yellowish or tinged with pink in the sun, is usually a third as thick as it is wide.

The loose inflorescence reaches a length of up to 25 centimeters and consists of 10 to 15 white flowers .

Systematics and distribution

Haworthia cymbiformis is widespread in the South African province of Eastern Cape .

The first description as Aloe cymbiformis by Adrian Hardy Haworth was published in 1804. Henri-Auguste Duval placed the species in the genus Haworthia in 1809 .
