Haworthia minima is a species of the genus Haworthia in the subfamily of the Affodil family (Asphodeloideae).

Haworthia minima grows without a trunk and sprouts slowly. The spread, lanceolate-triangular, narrowed leaves form a rosette with a height of up to 15 centimeters. The blue-green leaf blade is up to 13 inches long and 1.5 inches wide. The leaf surface is rough. There are raised, flattened warts on it that do not flow together.

The sparsely branched, loose inflorescence reaches a length of 30 to 40 centimeters. The flower tube is straight. The short tepals are veined in pink.

Systematics and distribution

Haworthia minima is common in the Western Cape province of South Africa.

The first description as Aloe margaritifera var. Minima by William Aiton was published in 1789. Adrian Hardy Haworth placed the species in the genus Haworthia in 1812 .

Nomenclatory synonymous are Haworthia margaritifera var. Minima (Aiton) Uitewaal (1947) and Haworthia pumila subsp. minima (Aiton) Halda (1997). There are also numerous other synonyms.

A distinction is made between the following varieties :
