Haworthia wittebergensis is a species of the genus Haworthia in the subfamily of the Affodill family (Asphodeloideae). The specific epithet wittebergensis refers to the occurrence of the species in the South African Witteberge .

description

Haworthia wittebergensis grows stemless and sprouts slowly. The 20 to 30 long and slender, narrowed leaves form a rosette with a diameter of up to 3 centimeters. The leaves are clearly encompassing the stems. Your gray-green leaf blade is up to 15 inches long and 0.8 inches wide. The leaf surface is leathery. There are white thorns on the leaf tip and on the leaf keel .

The slender, loose inflorescence reaches a length of up to 30 centimeters and consists of 15 to 20 flowers . The white flowers have a green vein and are loosely arranged.

Systematics and distribution

Haworthia wittebergensis is widespread in the South African province of Western Cape near Laingsburg on the Witteberge Mountains .

The first description by Winsome Fanny Barker was published in 1942.
