The Hayes River is an approximately 32 km long tributary of Teslin Lake in the north of the Canadian province of British Columbia .
The Hayes River rises on the eastern flank of the 1920 m high Hayes Peak in the Teslin Plateau . It flows in a predominantly northeastern direction and flows into a small side bay on the west bank of Teslin Lake not far from the southern end of the lake.
