Heßlar is the easternmost district of Karlstadt in the district of Main-Spessart in the administrative district of Lower Franconia ( Bavaria ). About 350 people live in the village.

Heßlar is located on a slope that slopes south and east.

history

Heßlar was first mentioned in a document in 788, when Count Manto and his brother Megingoz gave several of their estates in the "Veringewe" ( Werngau ), including the village of Heßlar, to the Fulda monastery.

On May 1, 1978 it was incorporated into Karlstadt.

Attractions

With the Catholic St. Michaelskirche, Heßlar has a sight from the baroque period.
