Heartbeat Parade is a Luxembourgish instrumental - hardcore punk band.

history

The band was founded in 2009 in Esch / Alzette by the Luxembourg bassist Félix and the Belgian drummer Vinny, two former members of the hardcore band Defdump . In 2010 the French guitarist Vinch, who was previously active in the band Riktus , joined them. Heartbeat Parade does not have a singer, but uses samples taken from voices from radio, TV shows and films.

Their first big appearance was in 2010 at the Luxembourg Out of the Crowd Festival, which took place in the Kufa in Esch.

On April 22nd, 2011 they released their first self-titled demo EP and appeared as a new discovery at the Festival Printemps de Bourges (i.e. Spring of Bourges) in Bourges / France .

After that, the band had other gigs in other countries of the European Union .

On April 5th, 2012 they released their second EP Burning Nantucket!

The music video for the song Burning Water was produced by HBP and shot by Max Breakfast and Marc Pierrard (also a former Defdump member) and released on February 1, 2013.

The first album Hora de los hornos (ie hour of the blast furnaces ), recorded by Julien Brenier and Yann Klimezik in the Rockhal studio, in the Mon studio and in the Luna studios, mixed in the 8Corps studio by Julien Bernier and by Alan Ward was finalized in Electric City Studio, was released on February 16, 2013 on the record labels Get A life Records and Who's Brain Records . The title of the album is an excerpt from a quote by the Cuban poet José Martí , the whole quote reads: "Es la hora de los hornos y no se ha de ver más que la luz" (ie it is time for the blast furnaces and the light it cannot be seen). La hora de los hornos is also the title of a film by the Argentine director Pino Solanas (Fernando), which was released in 1968.

style

Math rock , hardcore punk and heavy metal are combined with samples full of spoken words - not vocals, but rhythm and guitar riffs. Heartbeat Parade do not have a singer as the band refuses to allow the audience to focus on a single person. In addition, the band doesn't have to stick to deadlocked structures ( verses , choruses ).
