Hedi Marek (born April 24, 1927 in Vienna ) is an Austrian stage, film and television actress .

Live and act

Hedi Marek received her artistic training from Helmuth Krauss and then gained her first stage experience in the provinces. In the 1950s she went to East Berlin with her colleague and later husband Gerhard Klingenberg, where she worked as an actress and his assistant director at the Berliner Ensemble . In 1958 she made her film debut at DEFA .

As a result of the construction of the Wall in 1961, Marek and Klingenberg returned to the West, and she played theaters in cities such as Cologne , Frankfurt am Main and Zurich . In addition, from 1963, the Viennese woman was seen in a number of German and Austrian television productions, which often had literary sources and were always staged several times by her husband. Hedi Marek withdrew from working in front of the camera as early as the early 1970s.
