Hedi Thelen b. Masfelder (born July 9, 1956 in Andernach ) is a German politician ( CDU ). She has been a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament since 1996 .

Life and work

After the diploma at the Technical School of Economics in Neuwied in 1975, she trained for the upscale civil service at the district administration Mayen-Koblenz and studied at the School of Public Administration in Mayen . She graduated in 1978. From 1978 to 1996 she worked for the administration of the Mayen-Koblenz district . Hedi Thelen is married and has one child.

politics

Thelen joined the CDU in 1975. In 1991 she became a state board member of the Rhineland-Palatinate Women's Union . She has been a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament since 1996. She is the social policy spokesperson for the CDU parliamentary group and is a member of the Committee on Labor, Social Affairs, Family and Health and, since 2011, the Committee on Integration, Family, Children and Youth; From 1996 to 2011 she was a member of the Committee for Equality and the Advancement of Women. Since 1999 she has been a member of the Pellenz municipal council .

After various functions in the women's union, she became a member of the federal executive committee in 1997. Hedi Thelen is currently district chairwoman of the Mayen-Koblenz Women's Union and district chairwoman of the Koblenz-Montabaur Women's Union. In addition, she has been deputy chairwoman of the CDU district association Mayen-Koblenz since 2004. She has been a member of the CDU Rhineland-Palatinate state board since 2012 .
