Hedwig Gollob

Hedwig Maria Gollob (born January 13, 1895 in Olomouc , Austria-Hungary , † June 13, 1983 in Vienna ) was an Austrian art historian and librarian .

Life

She studied art history, history and archeology at the University of Vienna ( The Viennese woodcut from 1490 to 1550. A history of reverse development of German art in the transition period from Gothic to German Renaissance Dr. phil. 1920) and entered the main library of the TH Vienna in 1920 a. From 1934 to 1939 she completed a degree in structural engineering at the Vienna University of Technology ( Dipl.-Ing. 1939). After the end of the war, Gollob studied musical painting and stage production at the University of Applied Arts , and in 1948 she became state librarian at the University Library of the University of Vienna .
