Hedwig Reiter

Hedwig Reiter (born July 26, 1922 in Trier as Hedwig Linck ; † March 13, 2013 ) was a German CDU politician . From 1970 to 1975 and from 1979 to 1980 she was a member of the Saarland Landtag .

Reiter joined the CDU in 1959, where she was particularly involved in the women's union . In 1969 she ran unsuccessfully for the Bundestag . The following year she moved into the Saarland state parliament, and she also became the deputy of the Luisenthal Bergmannshilfswerk Foundation . In addition, she held the chairmanship of the CDU women's association in Saar for many years. She resigned both offices in 1975. That year she missed her re-entry into the state parliament. After the death of Prime Minister Franz-Josef Röder , she took over his mandate in the state parliament on June 26, 1979 and was a member of it until the end of the electoral term.

On March 25, 2013 Reiter was buried in the main cemetery in Saarbrücken .
