Hedwig Schobert

Hedwig Schobert (name after the second marriage: Hedwig von Bode ; born April 19, 1857 in Barnimskunow , Pyritz district as Hedwig Harnisch ; † January 21, 1919 in Berlin ) was a German writer .

Life

Hedwig Schobert was the daughter of a landowner . She grew up on her father's estate and made her first literary attempts at an early age. After marrying the Bavarian Premier Lieutenant Karl Schobert, she lived as a housewife and mother in Bayreuth and Munich . The marriage ended in divorce in 1881 and Hedwig Schobert moved to Berlin, where she began her writing career. From 1900 she was married to the Baron von Bode for the second time.

Hedwig Schobert was the author of widely read novels and stories at the time .
