Heelden is a district of the town of Isselburg in the Borken district in North Rhine-Westphalia . Until 1974 Heelden was an independent municipality .

Heelden is about 2 kilometers southwest of the Isselburg core city. The former municipality of Heelden had an area of 6.2 km².
history
Heelden is an old peasantry . Since the 19th century formed Heelden a rural community in the mayoralty Millingen (since 1928 Office Millingen ) of the circle Rees in the administrative district of Dusseldorf . On 1 January 1975. Heelden was the Muenster / Hamm Act incorporated into the city Isselburg that the district of Borken in the Region of Münster has been assigned. As a result, Heelden moved from the North Rhine region to the Westphalia region .
