Hey Ma

Hei Ma ( Chinese  黑马 , * 1960 in Baoding, Hebei Province ) in the north of the People's Republic of China , is a Chinese author. Hei Ma is the pseudonym of the well-known Chinese author and journalist Bi Bingbin (毕冰宾).

In 1984 he completed his English studies at the University of Education in Fujian . After graduating, he was assigned to a publishing house in Beijing as editor and translator. His experiences during this time inspired him to write the novel Lost in Beijing , which was included in the library of the metropolises , a series of the Süddeutsche Zeitung , in 2010 . In 1988 Hei Ma spent a month in Munich as a visiting scholar. Today Hei Ma works as a producer for the English language channel of the Chinese television broadcaster China Central Television .
