Heidi Bruggmann

Heidi Bruggmann ( July 23, 1936 - July 1, 2017 ) was a Swiss accordionist and composer .

Life

She came from St. Gallen and lived in Benglen (municipality of Fällanden ) in the Swiss canton of Zurich until her death . Her musical focus was the Länders .

In 1945 she made her first public appearance. In 1947 she composed her first piece of music, a waltz . In 1951 she began to make music professionally. In 1955 she moved to Zurich and founded the “Ländlerkapelle Heidi Bruggmann”, which cultivated the concert style of Central Switzerland. Their first long-playing record was released in 1967.

A highlight of her musical life was the awarding of the golden treble clef in 1988. More than 300 titles composed by her are registered with the SUISA copyright management association.
