Heike Klüver

Heike Klüver (born October 20, 1981 ) is a German political scientist and university lecturer . She is professor for "Comparative Political Behavior" at the Institute for Social Sciences at the Humboldt University in Berlin .

Life

In 2007 she completed her master's degree in political science and economics at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 2010 she completed her doctorate at the University of Mannheim with her dissertation " Lobbying in the EU: Interest Group Influence on Policy Formulation " under Berthold Rittberger and was awarded "summa cum laude" and several prizes. From 2012 to 2013 she held a junior professorship for "Policy Analysis and Public Administration" at the University of Konstanz . In 2013 she was offered a position in Bamberg and became professor for "Empirical Political Science" at the Otto Friedrich University in Bamberg . In 2015 she moved to the University of Hamburg and became professor for "Comparative Politics". Since the 2016/17 winter semester, Klüver has been professor and head of the "Comparative Political Behavior" chair at the Humboldt University in Berlin .

Heike Klüver's main research interests are interest groups , parties , coalition governments, political representation, legislative processes , European politics and quantitative text analysis .

Klüver is a member of the American Political Science Association (APSA), the German Association for Political Science (DVPW) and other associations.
