Heiko Reinemer

Heiko Reinemer (born June 14, 1945 in Wiesbaden-Bierstadt ) is a former German gymnast .

Life and work

After studying sports and marrying his wife Margrit, Heiko Reinemer worked as a teacher at the Freiherr-vom-Stein-Schule in Frankfurt from 1970 to 2006 . He lives in Wiesbaden-Bierstadt.

Gymnastics career

At the age of six, Heiko Reinemer joined his hometown club TV 1881 Bierstadt in 1951. At the age of 18 he was the best youth gymnast in Germany. Between 1968 and 1970 he was German senior champion five times. In addition to a championship in the twelve-fight in 1970, he was three times master in floor exercise (1968-70) and 1969 master of the horizontal bar. His success led to participation in the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico . Here he stood together with his role model Willi Jaschek from TSV Heusenstamm , the team took 8th place in the all-around competition. Heiko Reinemer fought a total of 15 international matches until 1971.

Coaching career

In addition to his work as a trainer in TV 1881 Bierstadt, he was a federal fee trainer in artistic gymnastics at the Frankfurt am Main base between 1971 and 1995 . At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal / Canada , he acted as the Olympic trainer for the German team.
