Heilig-Geist-Kirche Neuhaus

The Heilig-Geist-Kirche in Neuhaus bei Windischeschenbach is a Roman Catholic church building in the diocese of Regensburg .

Building history

Because the old church of St. Agatha in the center of Neuhaus became too small, it was decided in 1967 to build the new Holy Spirit Church. The foundation stone was laid on June 27, 1970. The construction of the church was completed in one year according to the plans of the Reg. Builder Becker from Regensburg . On July 3, 1971, Auxiliary Bishop Karl Flügel inaugurated the new church. It was renovated in 1988. In 1999 the bell tower was built according to the plans of the architects Rembeck & Partner , and in 2012 the interior of the church was redesigned.

Organ with gallery

On the walls of the interior there is a way of the cross carved from wood. The stone baptismal font is the work of the artist Günter Mauermann. In addition to the main church room , there is a small weekday church that contains the confessionals .

Bells

Free-standing bell tower

Because the church did not have a tower until 1999, until the new tower was built it had a tape recorder, which consisted of a sound recording of the bells from the Regensburg church of St. Albertus Magnus .

Today's bells were cast in December 1998 by the Rudolf Perner bell foundry in Passau . In June 1999 they were consecrated by Vicar General Wilhelm Gegenfurter and raised in the tower. The bells hang in a wooden bell chair on wooden yokes.
