The Catholic parish church of the Holy Family in Munich-Harlaching is the first modern church building in Munich. Richard Steidle was their architect. Consecrated in 1931 by Michael Cardinal von Faulhaber , the church was hit by an incendiary bomb on November 22, 1944 . After the reconstruction, the church was reopened in 1949 by Auxiliary Bishop Johannes Neuhäusler .

description

The style of the building is based on the Romanesque and stands as a "Gottesburg" on the slope edge on Hohen Weg. In the course of time the church was equipped with modern works of art, such as B. the Stations of the Cross mosaics by Otto Habel . The numerous bronze reliefs on the portals and in the church are significant. The works of Franz Berberich are particularly noteworthy .
