Heimbach also took over Bruch & Cie. in Belgium (now Heimbach Specialties AG). In 1974 Swiss Wire Ireland Ltd was established in Ireland. In 1980 the Atlanta Felt Company was founded in the USA.

In 1991 a partnership was established with the JWI Group in Canada. CH Johnson Ltd. in England was bought up. Today it is called Heimbach UK Ltd.

In 2006 Heimbach founded the sales company Heimbach Asia Pte. Ltd. in Singapore for Asia.

In 2007 Heimbach achieved through the purchase of Marathon Belting Ltd. in Manchester the global leader in press padding for the woodworking industry . They are used in the manufacture of furniture or laminate flooring . Further acquisitions in 2008 in the field of technical textiles allowed the Heimbach Group to grow.
