Heino Roomere , native Henry Römmer (born January 28 . Jul / 10. February  1907 greg. In Harku , Governorate of Estonia ; † 5. July 1966 in Tallinn , Estonian SSR ) was an Estonian football player and pianist Baltic German origin.

Life

Heino Roomere was born in 1907 under the name Heinrich Römmer as one of six children of Jaan Römmer and his wife Liisa Römmer (née Tohver) in Harku , a rural community in Harju County , Estonia . In 1936 he established his first and last name.

In 1925 he was a graduate of the Gustav Adolf High School in Tallinn. He then trained as a pianist in Tallinn at the Conservatory of the Estonian Music Academy . He later worked as a professional musician in the Volkstheater. A year after graduating from the Conservatory, he joined the Estonian Socialist Workers' Party . During the Second World War he was part of the orchestra of a police battalion.

Between 1927 and 1929 Roomere played football for JK Tallinna Kalev in the Estonian Football Championship . In the same period he also played five internationals for the Estonian national team , including two games at the Baltic Cup in 1928 .
