Heinrich Behrens (politician, 1924)

Heinrich Behrens (born February 17, 1924 in Bremen ; † November 17, 2008 ) was a German politician ( SPD ). He was a member of the Bremen citizenship and head of the Vegesack local authority .

biography

Behrens learned the trade of a machinist. He then had to work for the Reich Labor Service (RAD). In 1943/45 he was a brief member of the NSDAP . From 1943 to 1947 he served as a soldier and was then a prisoner of war.

After the Second World War , he completed an apprenticeship as a bookseller from 1947 to 1949 and then worked in the profession. He became a member of the SPD. From 1953 to 1974 he was an employee of the Allgemeine Ortskrankenkasse (AOK) in Bremen.

Behrens was a member of the Bremen citizenship for around three years from 1971 to 1974 and served in various deputations of the citizenship. From 1974 to 1989 he was head of the Bremen - Vegesack local office and therefore left the citizenry.
