Heinrich Berges
Heinrich Wilhelm Berges (born August 2, 1805 in Berlin , † October 9, 1852 in Rome ) was a German sculptor .
Life
Heinrich Berges was a pupil of the drawing class at the Royal Prussian Academy of the Arts in Berlin from 1819 to 1820 and in the studio of the sculptor Christian Daniel Rauch , with whom he worked until his death in 1852. Together with August Kiss and Albert Wolff , he traveled to Bertel Thorvaldsen in Copenhagen in 1843 . In 1849 Berges became a member of the Berlin Art Academy. He died there on October 9, 1852 on a trip to Rome .

- In 1839 and 1842 at the Berlin Art Exhibition of the Royal Academy of the Arts , the figure girl with a parrot was shown . Gilded zinc cast , executed three times by Siméon Pierre Devaranne : each on a white-blue glass column in the Marly Gardens of Potsdam's Sanssouci Park, on Rose Island in Lake Starnberg and on Zarin Island in Kolonistskiy Park (Колонистский парк) in Peterhof
- around 1840 boy with bird . Until 1929 on the pergola of the Charlottenhof Palace , Sanssouci Park , Potsdam. Probably no longer received
- 1842 boy as togiatus . Completed copy after a torso from the 1st century AD, Roman Baths , Sanssouci Park, Potsdam
