Heinrich Blatt

Heinrich Blatt (born July 13, 1927 in Niederwürzbach , † August 29, 2010 ) was a German CDU politician .

Life and career

After attending elementary school, Blatt worked as a surveyor and for Heckel in Rohrbach . After the Second World War he was a coal miner in the Jägersfreude mine , where he was also a member of the works council. In 1960 he ended this activity. After attending the Academy of Labor for a few years, he now worked full-time for Christian trade unions. On May 1, 1966, he took up his post as secretary of the mining and energy industrial union, and on September 1, 1969, he switched to the post of deputy managing director of IG BE in Neunkirchen . From February 15, 1974 he headed the IG BE office in Saarlouis . In 1980 he retired.

Blatt was married and had three children.

politics

Blatt began his political activities in 1948. With his party, the CDU, he was for a time the first chairman of the social committee in the St. Ingbert district association . On June 27, 1965, he was elected to the Saarland state parliament, to which he belonged for an electoral term until 1970.
