Heinrich Wilhelm Bräutigam (born October 23, 1868 in Landau , † March 18, 1937 in Arolsen ) was a German farmer and politician ( SPD ).

Bridegroom was the son of the farmer Johann Heinrich Bräutigam and his wife Marie Friedericke Henriette Philippine nee Rauch. He married Wilhelmine Christine Scheuermann on June 9, 1900 in Lütersheim. Groom was a farmer and miller in Landau. He joined the SPD and became sub-district chairman of the SPD for Waldeck. From 1919 to 1929 he belonged to the constitution-making Waldeck-Pyrmont state representation or Waldeck state representation . He stood up for an affiliation with Waldeck to Prussia and in 1929 was also one of the three members of the negotiating commission with Prussia and a signatory of the affiliation agreement. Bridegroom was a bitter opponent of the monarchy (which harmed the SPD in Waldeck: the princely family was quite popular there). In 1920 the SPD voted against the settlement with the princely family regarding the separation of state and private assets. In 1927, the groom demanded the abolition of forest uniforms in the state parliament. These had not been changed and still showed the royal crown.
