The Heinrich Buschmann & Söhne GmbH is a shipyard in Hamburg .

history

Johann Thomas Theodor Buschmann founded a small shipyard in Steinwerder on June 21, 1882 . The expansion of Blohm + Voss led to the resettlement on the Ross am Köhlbrand in 1893 .

After the founder's death in 1912, the shipyard was continued by his sons Theodor and Heinrich Buschmann. In 1934 the brothers separated. Theodor Buschmann continued his father's business and built a new shipyard on Reiherstieg after it was destroyed by the Second World War in 1945 .

His brother Heinrich Buschmann took over in 1935 on the Peute the shipyard from Westphalian coal office, on the barges and barges were built. This shipyard has been run by the sons Herbert and Ernst Buschmann since 1972. Ernst Buschmann has been the sole owner since 1979. It operates as Heinrich Buschmann & Söhne GmbH and has, among other things, a transverse slip system (90 × 11 m, 600 t), a longitudinal slip system (20 × 7 m) and a floating dock (26 × 12.50 m) with a load capacity of 300 t.

In addition to the construction of new barges , pontoons , barges and tugboats repairs and maintenance on barges are barges , pontoons and tugboats performed.
