Heinrich German
Heinrich Deutsch (born February 23, 1925 in Vienna ) is a sculptor from Austria who works in stone, bronze and polyester. He also designs mosaics and ceramics.
education
Heinrich Deutsch studied with Marcel Gimond in Paris from 1948 to 1950 and graduated as a sculptor from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in 1951. After that he was a student in the ceramics class of Robert Obsieger at the Academy of Applied Arts Vienna until 1953 .

From 1953 Heinrich Deutsch created several portraits as a freelance sculptor such as Albert Einstein , Hedwig Bleibtreu , Albin Skoda and other bronze sculptures as well as mosaics and fountains made of ceramic and natural stone . In 1959 he was one of the founders of the St. Margarethen Sculpture Symposium and in 1964 received first prize in the competition for the state monument that is erected in the Schweizergarten in Vienna. The Renner memorial on the Ringstrasse also comes from him.
His works are characterized by the fact that he strives for harmony and perfection in his sculptures and portraits.
Honors
In 1981 Heinrich Deutsch was honored with the Austrian Cross of Honor for Science and Art for his achievements.
