Heinrich Eduard von Egidy

Heinrich Eduard von Egidy (born September 25, 1808 in Weißenfels , † 1870 in Halsbrücke ) was a Saxon officer and non-fiction author. He was the last of his line.

Life

He came from the noble family Egidy and was the second child of the Saxon Colonel Heinrich August von Egidy (1778-1840) and Henriette Schubert von Kleefeld († September 4, 1823).

Like many members of his family, he embarked on the Saxon military career, in which he was promoted to first lieutenant. He also worked as a non-fiction author in the Saxon Ore Mountains .

He married twice. His first wife was Christine Remga on April 13, 1841 in Zwickau (born September 11, 1812, † March 19, 1852). After her death he married Ernestine Helfert (born June 6, 1832). Both marriages remained without children.
