Heinrich Grassmüller (* 1632 in Hamburg ; † January 12, 1683 ibid) was a German Lutheran preacher .

Grassmüller devoted himself to theology and, after completing his studies, gradually held several positions in which he diligently developed his preaching talent and distinguished himself by strict conscientiousness in pastoral care . He gradually advanced to higher positions and was most recently archdeacon at the Michaeliskirche Hamburg .

As a writer, Grassmüller made himself known through his sick book, or prayers and consolations for the sick (6 parts, Hamburg 1681), which was one of the better works of that time in this branch of pastoral care. It was a popular handbook of the Protestant clergy in the late 17th century and a sought-after comfort book for the devout Protestants on the sickbed.
