Heinrich HD Meyer

Heinrich HD Meyer (born July 13, 1950 ; † April 13, 2012 ) was a German nutritionist .

Life

From 1996 Meyer held the chair for physiology at the Technical University of Munich . The focus of his scientific work was the molecular physiologist of farm animals and wild animals. Among other things, he dealt with the detection of anabolic steroids in animals that should serve as food suppliers. A 25-month feeding study in dairy cows with the Bt maize Mon810 also attracted a lot of attention. As dean, he contributed to the profile of the Weihenstephan Science Center .
