Heinrich Hans Schlimarski
Heinrich Hans Schlimarski (born October 5, 1859 in Olomouc ; † July 13, 1913 in Hainburg ) was an Austrian portrait, genre and history painter.
Schlimarski studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with August Eisenmenger and Hans Makart . He was considered the most gifted student of Makart and became his collaborator, together they signed several large-format works.
Schlimarski went on study trips to Vienna , Munich and Italy .
He worked as a portrait, genre and history painter, mainly creating portraits of women and nudes. Many of his works appeared in the form of postcards.
