Heinrich Hierhammer
Heinrich Hierhammer (born May 11, 1857 in Vienna ; † December 23, 1936 there ) was Vice Mayor of the City of Vienna from 1905 to 1918.
Life
Heinrich Hierhammer was born on May 11, 1857 as the first child of his parents (Franz-Xaver Hierhammer and Barbara née Köther). Hierhammer attended secondary school from 1868 to 1872 and was then accepted as a lithography apprentice in his father's business (lithography and lithography). On March 21, 1898, Hierhammer was elected to the municipal council in the Josefstadt district as a member of the Christian Social Party. With 126 out of 153 votes, Hierhammer was elected Third Vice Mayor of the Imperial and Royal Capital and Residence on December 19, 1905. After Lueger's death in 1910 and the election of Dr. Neumayers was promoted to mayor, Hierhammer was promoted to second vice mayor and in 1914 to first. Hierhammer died on December 23, 1936 at the age of 79.
Hierhammer was married to Leopoldine Marburg (* August 2, 1860 in Vienna; † January 18, 1929 there) and had seven children (two daughters and five sons).
