Heinrich Hinsenkamp

Heinrich Hinsenkamp (born August 28, 1862 in Trieste , † September 17, 1934 in Linz ) was an Austrian lawyer and German national politician . He was the last mayor of Urfahr .

Life

Heinrich Hinsenkamp completed a law degree and worked for the Jäger law firm in Linz from 1887, and as an independent lawyer in Urfahr from 1893. In 1894 he became a councilor in Urfahr, and from 1897 to 1915 a member of the Upper Austrian state parliament. From 1918 to 1919 he was a member of the provisional state assembly.

From 1901 to 1919 Hinsenkamp was the last mayor of the city of Urfahr before it was incorporated into Linz in 1919. He was considered the creator of the modern Urfahr. Under his aegis, Julius Schulte's town hall in Urfahr was extensively rebuilt in 1911.

He lived in the house built by Ignaz Scheck at Mühlkreisbahnstraße 3. Wilhelm Dachauer created a portrait of Hinsenkamp.
