Julius Schulte
Julius Schulte (born May 14, 1881 in Steyrermühl, municipality of Laakirchen , † August 11, 1928 in Linz ) was an Austrian architect whose works were initially based on Art Nouveau and later on Expressionism .
Life
Julius Schulte studied at the Technical University and the Vienna Academy . From 1905 he worked in Friedrich Ohmann's studio . From 1909 to 1921 Schulte was a building officer at the Linz magistrate. In 1923 he became a member of the cooperative of visual artists Vienna, Künstlerhaus . In 1926 he took over a professorship at the Technical University in Graz ( chair for architecture).
From 1919 on, Schulte built numerous public buildings and residential buildings in Upper Austria.
