Heinrich I of Meissen
Heinrich I of Meissen († June 24, 1240 ) was Bishop of Meissen from December 1228 until his death .
In 1228 Heinrich became Bishop of Meissen. In 1232, Emperor Friedrich II lent him the proceeds of the metal mines found within the boundaries of the property of the Meißner Church, as well as the gold-bearing waters. In the award document the emperor names him dilectus princeps . However, there is no original of this document. Hubert Ermisch thinks it is a fake. In 1237, Henry appeared near the emperor during the siege of Brescia .
