Life

After the end of the conflict between the Margraves of Brandenburg with the Princes of Werle and the Archbishop of Magdeburg , who also damaged Havelberg property, Heinrich ended the border disputes with the Princes of Werle in a treaty in 1274.

In 1275, Heinrich granted the episcopal residence Wittstock privileges and transferred the parish church to the cathedral chapter . At the General Synod in Stargard in 1288 the bishop obliged the parishioners to participate in the construction of the parish buildings. In 1287 Heinrich was involved in the foundation of the Cistercian convent Heiligengrabe by the Margraves of Brandenburg.

Damaged in a fire in 1279, the Havelberg Cathedral was rebuilt in Gothic style.

On behalf of the Pope, he declared the marriage between Duke Heinrich IV of Silesia and Mechthild of Brandenburg in 1288, and in 1290 the marriage between Duke Bogislaw IV of Pomerania and Margarete von Rügen as valid.

Heinrich was last mentioned on February 26, 1290.
