Heinrich II. (Chur)
Heinrich II was bishop of Chur from 1180 to 1193/94 until his death .
Life
His origin is unclear, he may come from the Constance ministerial family Arbon. Heinrich was canon in Chur and Salzburg . He had been Bishop of Chur since 1180, but was only consecrated between June 1183 and July 1185. Heinrich is often attested to in the vicinity of Emperor Frederick I , for example he swore the Peace of Constance between Friedrich and the Lombards League in 1183 and was a participant in the Mainz Court day from 1184 . He accompanied Friedrich on his last Italian campaign in 1184 to Verona . His diocese fell into disrepair due to Heinrich's mismanagement. The cathedral chapter then brought proceedings against the bishop with Pope Celestine III. which led to Heinrich's removal from office at the end of 1193 or 1194.
